About Amanda Smith

Hi, I’m Amanda, a licensed speech-language therapist based in Sandy Springs, GA with over a decade of experience helping people communicate more clearly, confidently, and independently. I specialize in Parkinson’s speech therapy, myofunctional therapy, and pediatric articulation therapy, blending clinical expertise with deep personal care.

I started my career in hospital settings, working in neuro rehab and acute care with patients recovering from stroke, TBI, and neurodegenerative disorders like PPA and Parkinson’s disease. After years in the system, I created Lasting Language to offer more personalized, community-focused support — the kind of therapy that meets you where you are.

As a homeschooling mom, I reignited my love for working with children, especially in orofacial myofunctional therapy and early speech development. I now offer a mix of in-home, outpatient, and teletherapy sessions, depending on what fits your life best.

My passion is creating lasting change through connection. Whether you’re an adult facing voice challenges or a parent seeking help for your child’s speech delay, I’m here to help you or your loved one feel heard — literally and emotionally.
